Teaching others knowledge helps us better assimilate what we know. It forces you to make a mental outline and simplify the concepts. Many times when I learn something new many times I try to ask myself: How would you explain it to someone else? In this way I see the information from another point of view and it makes me better understand the essence of the concept.

  • Teaching is the basis of life , not just in school, because to live you have to learn everything, starting with language, to communicate, to think, to remember, to learn. To teach, in Greek, is called didasko, which literally means “to help someone grow” . By helping someone to grow you ar growing yourself.

There is a Slovak proverb that says, “Pure water is the first and foremost medicine in the world.”

  • Water is one of the foundations of human health and longevity . Slight dehydration (2%) caused by exercise or heat can have negative effects on physical and mental performance, it basically leaves us wasted. 60% of the body is made up of water, it is the medium where all biochemical reactions take place. Dehydrated we do not function properly.

  • Remember to constantly hydrate yourself. Water is usually the best fluid to hydrate you, but it’s better to see something than anything even though it’s coffee. Alcohol tends to dehydrate in the long run. We should take about 8 glasses a day almost about 2 L (depending on each person and what you eat), but it is better to drink more than to fall short.  In general, you should try to drink between half an ounce and an ounce of water for each pound you weigh, every day. For example, if you weigh 150 pounds, that would be 75 to 150 ounces of water a day. If you’re living in a hot climate and excercising a lot, you’d be on the higher end of that range; if you’re in a cooler climate and mostly sedentary, you’d need less.

  • If you drink water in a plastic bottle, try aovid sunlight exposure to the bottle sun, as the photodegradation of the plastic releases Bisphenol A which is a xenoestrogen that is harmful to health.

Sip some water every now an then!
