The Power Monday has arrived with your dose of motivation and knowledge to face the week with energy, a lot of strenght and a big smile.
Taking the concept of Productivity = Success too far can cause us the opposite of what we want: Anxiety, unhappiness and guilt. Sometimes leaving things to do can be very healthy, relaxing and productive. It can allow you to focus on what really matters. Setting our expectations too high or seeking perfection, ironically, can cause us failure.
Maybe it’s not about knowing what you want to do but what you don’t want to do. We need to remember that even though it is hard to say “No” to someone, it is sometimes necessary in order to say “Yes” to someone else.
The important question is, how can you say No without hurting other’s feelings?

- Today’s world population is 1,860 times what it was 12 millennia ago when the world population was around 4 million . The most impressive thing is that all the growth has taken place very recently. In the 1800s the world population was only 1 billion people. This means that, on average, the population grew very slowly from 10,000 BC to 1700 (0.04% per year) . After 1800, this changed radically. 108 billion humans have lived on this planet.
For most of history, high infant mortality and short life expectancy were offset by high fertility. When health and living conditions have improved the population has grown. Specifically, the population has quadrupled in the last 100 years.
The population explosion is coming to an end as countries complete the demographic transition. However, it is estimated that it will reach 12 billion inhabitants and stabilize . Can we fit so many people on one planet?
Seeing this data always amazes me and I’m glad to see how little I know about this world and how much I have left to know.
